The region’s flagship Latino-focused
We are the only Latino-focused nonprofit in the region with a team of employee Promotores who conduct home visits to assess needs and connect Latinos to a multitude of health, education, and youth development services.
The Latino Leadership Council is founded on the principles of advocacy, leadership and systemic change.
We walk alongside the families we serve and model advocacy for them so they can become their family’s best advocate.
We embrace leadership with our program participants who find their voices, and in doing so, help others.
We also embrace leadership with our promotores. With every family they manage, the promotores gain insights, sow compassion and develop organizational, communication and leadership skills that are integral to their careers as doctors, teachers, social workers or elected officials.
Our promotores interact with systems and agencies. We provide crucial support to promote change and transform policy and systems to help our communities thrive.
Our mission is to advance cultural strength, leadership
and well-being within the Latino Community.
We build collaborative relationships based on trust and mutual respect.
Personal and community growth
We educate and advocate opportunities to continually grow and develop our skills and promote community wellness.
We do what we say we will do with honesty, transparency and accountability.
We treat each other with dignity and cultivate a sense of cultural achievement to benefit the good of the community.
Catalyst for change
We continually challenge systems and communities to bring about changes in approaches, perceptions, behaviors and outcomes.
